Daniela is a Physical Therapy Assistant working for the Astoria location of Hands-On Physical Therapy. She has been trained in Manual Therapy and has attended seminars on Trigger Point and Myofascial Therapy and is looking forward to completing her Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy (MCMT). Daniela believes that understanding, communication and compassion towards the patient is the most effective way to help a patient deal with their health challenge. She is always willing to provide her physical therapy skills and knowledge to assist people in need.
Pina is a senior physical therapist with vast experience in the area of Manual Therapy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2003 and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2005 from the University of Sciences in Philadelphia. Pina has been working in private practice helping patients with orthopedic, sports, spine, and post-surgical problems. She is an active member of the APTA and NYPTA. She is currently studying towards achieving a Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy. She prides herself in helping restore patient's function and return to a better quality of life.
Ian is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a graduate of the renowned Florida International University in Miami .During his years of coursework Ian has taken several advanced classes in Manual Physical Therapy, while he continues his advanced training by pursuing his MCMT (Mastery certification in Manual Therapy) through Hands-On Seminars . While he has clinical experience in acute and rehab settings, Ian's main area of interest is Sports Physical Therapy. He is dedicated to providing optimal patient care through a combination of hands on techniques combined with therapeutic exercise.
Carlos was born and raised in Argentina. He earned his Degree in Kinesiology and Physiotherapy from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. Since then he has obtained experience in the areas of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as in the areas of Exercise Prescription and Manual Therapy. Carlos has also experience in working with the aging populations. His eagerness for learning has led him to take many continuing education courses in the areas of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Manual Therapy. Since October 2008, Carlos joined the team of professionals of Hands-On Care Physical Therapy.
Petros is one of our therapists In our Astoria facility. He has a PTA degree from Bergen Community College, and has credentials as a clinical instructor. He has also completed seminars for trigger point therapy and low back conditions as well as Maitlant seminars focusing on osteopathic techniques. Petros is of Greek decent but is also fluent in English, French and Spanish. For the past twenty five years Petros has also been a dance coach and competitor, as well as having been trained in martial arts. His believe that one must always take care of their bodies and mind has led him to constantly push himself to new and innovative things, and we are certain his knowledge and experience is a great addition to the Hands on team.
Stephanie graduated from the Medical Academy as a Faculty of Medicine in Bulgaria specializing in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. Her work experience includes the Department of Occupational Diseases as a Medical Doctor Specialist in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation; and the National Department of "Sport and Health" for the Olympic and National teams, also as a Medical Doctor Specialist in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in Bulgaria. She works as a PTA and she is a long-time veteran therapist in the Astoria Clinic with many years of experience in the varied areas of Physical Therapy.
Constantin Catalin Toc is a training specialist in our Astoria location. He holds a Bachelor's in coursework pertaining to Physical Therapy, and a Master's of Science in sports medicine. Constantine is a professional athlete and gymnastics coach for over a decade. He also holds Gold and Silver medals in indoor and outdoor sprinting competitions in Italy. Currently Constantine is getting his Doctoral of Physical Therapy at Hunter College and hopes to continue to help people on a higher level once he graduates.
Ronald holds a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from Queens College, while he is also a a licensed massage therapist graduate from the Swedish Institute. Ronald has spent his entire career in the health and fitness field, working as a personal trainer since 1988. It was during this time that he obtained certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine as a health fitness instructor, The National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer and the American Academy of Health, Fitness and Rehabilitation Professionals as a medical exercise specialist. Ronald has worked with a variety of people throughout his career and enjoys helping people improve their health and fitness.
John is our Astoria Office Manager has been with the Hands-On organization for over twelve years. He is in charge of monitoring the entire front desk area, as well as directing the therapists and aides in their various duties. He has completed his education at the Perpetual Help College of Ritual in the Philippines and obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Therapy. John is also of Pilipino decent and is both fluent in Tagalog and English. A true asset to the Hands on Company, John is well versed in every aspect of the organization which also includes knowing every health insurance plan that is currently being offered to patients. His passion and patience to get the work completed have not only helped him grow but have also helped the company tremendously.
Tina is the General Manager of the Hands-On Care Physical Therapy organization and she assists in the sister company of PhysioCare PT. Her Bachelor Degree in Accounting & Economics from Queens College, C.U.N.Y. has helped in all aspects of her position, some of which include overseeing all financial aspects of the company as well as working hand in hand with the company founders and owners to ensure that everything runs accordingly. Tina also believes that with all the recent changes going on around the world, a patient can choose any Physical Therapy place to attend, but it is the customer service and quality care that a Physical Therapy clinic will give you that counts the most. Tina is of Greek decent and is fluent in English as well as her native language.
